About Mario Pizighelli

Mario has been coaching functional fitness for over four years, but his coaching experience goes back much further—he spent a decade coaching AAU travel basketball teams and summer camps, where he learned how to break down complex movements, work with athletes at every level, and push people to be better without breaking them.

Mario's been training CrossFit since 2014, giving him over 10 years of hands-on experience with functional fitness programming and movement. That depth of knowledge shows in how he coaches: he knows what works, what doesn't, and how to scale everything to meet you where you are.


His coaching philosophy is rooted in movement quality over heavy weight. Form first, load second. The body just needs to move—and move well. Mario's not impressed by big numbers with bad mechanics. He'd rather you build strength sustainably and safely than chase PRs that wreck you.


By day, Mario's a professional civil engineer—which means he brings an analytical, detail-oriented approach to coaching. (Also: if you need a math tutor, he's absolutely your guy.) He loves working with the class, learning your specific goals, and problem-solving your movement challenges. Expect a friendly push when you need it and real-time feedback to help you move better.
